Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Electrical Designer to assist in evaluating, selecting, specifying, and engineering electrical power and lighting systems for civic, education, manufacturing, transit and commercial projects. You will perform Revit design, calculations, and field work under guidance of a Project Manager/Senior Engineer.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, 2+ years' experience, and a valid driver's license; Stantec offers hybrid work with Puget Sound offices at least 3

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering/design on Buildings projects.
• Must have a valid driver's license and clean MVR.
• Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD for drafting/design.
• Experience with field work and coordination with multiple disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Interprets drawings, codes, and similar materials.
• Performs Revit and/or AutoCAD design for the electrical discipline.
• Coordinates with architecture, interior, and other engineering disciplines under the direction of a senior engineer/designer.
• Performs field work as directed by a senior engineer/designer.
• Performs basic calculations to analyze and design electrical system components.
• Assists with engineering duties on projects of varying complexity.
• Assists with data collection to support design decisions.
• Performs other duties as assigned by senior staff.
