The Electrical Engineer in Training/Designer reports to the Senior Electrical Engineer and is responsible for assisting project engineers in developing electrical solutions for design projects while participating as an integral member of the project team.

Responsibilities:

• Communicate and coordinate with project team members.
• Assist lead project engineer with assessing lighting, power, and data requirements and providing layouts.
• Assist lead project engineer with completing lighting, power, data, and systems layouts, details, and schedules.
• Visit jobsites to gather required information to complete drawings.
• Inform lead project engineer of potential issues.
• Complete COM-Check calculations.
• Assist lead project engineer with completing addendum drawings.
• Assist lead project engineer with completing revision drawings and punch lists.

Education & Experience Requirements:

• EIT or unlicensed designer, with 3+ years of experience.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred.
• Experience with Revit MEP and/or AutoCAD, required.
• Familiarity with BIM360, Bluebeam, and MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

• Good communication skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Able to meet deadlines and schedules.
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM software.

Physical Demands:

• Work is performed in a typical office environment.
• May require extended periods of sitting and visual concentration on a computer or detailed data.
• Repetitive manual movements, such as data entry and mouse use, are common.
• Occasional travel may be necessary.
• Physical activities such as standing, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling may be required occasionally.
