Job summary

ABEC is seeking an Electrical Designer/Drafter to create electrical schematics, control-panel drawings, conduit layouts and bills of material for custom-engineered bioprocess equipment. This industrial-controls role emphasizes PLC/DCS hardware, process instrumentation and motor controls, with strong AutoCAD Electrical experience.

The position involves designing schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, BOMs, and supporting PLC/DCS/VFD systems, while collaborating with engineers, manufacturing

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or equivalent experience.
• Two+ years of industrial electrical design experience.
• Experience with control systems, instrumentation and motor controls.
• AutoCAD Electrical experience.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and P&IDs.
• Familiarity with drafting standards, electrical codes and bills of material.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

ABEC is seeking an Electrical Designer/Drafter to create electrical schematics, control-panel drawings, conduit layouts and bills of material for custom-engineered equipment used in biopharmaceutical manufacturing.

This is an industrial controls and equipment-design role, not an IT, software or network-infrastructure position. Experience with PLC/DCS hardware, process instrumentation, motor controls and AutoCAD Electrical is strongly preferred.

What you’ll do:

• Design electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts and conduit schedules


• Create panel assembly drawings and bills of material
