Your Opportunity

Our Buildings team seeks an Electrical Designer to work under guidance on tasks and smaller projects, and as part of larger projects under a Senior Engineer/Designer. Responsibilities include evaluating, selecting, specifying, and engineering electrical power, lighting, fire alarm, and other low voltage systems, ensuring code compliance. Tasks may involve Revit and AutoCAD design, calculations, and fieldwork.

Your Key Responsibilities

1. Interpret drawings, codes, and related materials.
2. Create electrical design documentation using Revit and AutoCAD.
3. Perform engineering calculations for electrical systems.
4. Coordinate with architects, interior designers, and engineers under supervision.
5. Conduct field work as directed.
6. Assist with engineering duties on various projects.
7. Support data collection for design decisions.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

• Basic understanding of electrical engineering concepts and effective communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate and think critically.
• Interpret sketches, drawings, and building programs.
• Follow directions and accept feedback.
• Basic knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD preferred but not required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with AGI 32, Visual Lighting Software, SKM, or Newforma is a plus.

Education And Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical or Architectural Engineering with emphasis on lighting/electrical.
• Internship or co-op experience preferred.
• Working towards or passed the EIT exam; EIT credentials are a plus.
