Job summary

Sedgman USA is seeking an Electrical Designer to develop detailed electrical drawings and 3D models for mining process projects in Phoenix, AZ. You will work with engineers to translate concepts into precise 3D designs and documentation using AutoCAD and Plant 3D.

Qualifications

• Associate Diploma in CAD or equivalent CAD training.
• 5–7 years’ AutoCAD and Plant 3D experience.
• Team-oriented and able to communicate with stakeholders.
• Willing to learn and share knowledge; strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed electrical design drawings and layouts, contributing to a 3D mining model using AutoCAD and Plant 3D.
• Create single line diagrams, MCC arrangements, panel layouts, wiring diagrams and terminations.
• Develop instrument loop diagrams and electrical room/substation layouts.
• Prepare grounding plans and lighting layouts; routing for cables and trays.
• Translate concepts into precise drawings and ensure design accuracy with project teams.
