Job summary

TruNorth Automation is seeking a detail-oriented engineer to drive electrical design and drafting for our controls team. You will translate design specs into electrical requirements and participate in hands-on assembly and power-up of automated manufacturing equipment.

Ideal candidates have an associate degree in robotics, mechatronics, or electrical/computer engineering with internship or co-op experience in control systems, plus strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Job description

TruNorth Automation is looking to continue growth in its engineering department. The ideal candidate has experience with AutoCAD electrical, has hands-on electrical wiring experience, and is self motivated and driven to succeed. You will be performing electrical design, drafting electrical prints for the controls team, and working hands-on with assembly and power-up for automated manufacturing equipment. You are joining a driven and ambitious team with decades of experience in delivering sophisticated automation equipment to the life sciences and med device industry.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in robotics, mechatronics, electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related field with minimum GPA of 3.0
• Practical experience within an internship, co-op, or team related to control systems
• Hold effective interpersonal and communication skills
• Competent in MS Office: excel, word, power point
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with AutoCAD electrical or similar software, electrical design, and/or robotics is a plus
• US citizen or authorization to work permanently for any Employer in the United States
