Job summary

Mission Critical Group is seeking an Electrical Designer to support development and execution of electrical systems and control panel designs for manufacturing operations. You will create electrical design packages, select components, prepare detailed schematics, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure design intent is carried through to production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or associate degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Design Technology, or related field.
• 3 years of experience in electrical drafting or design, preferably in switchgear or related industry.
• Strong proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical.
• Experience using AutoCAD and/or Inventor.
• Hands-on experience in panel building and wiring.
• Experience in the design of electrical switchgear, UL891, and UL1558.

Responsibilities

• Create designs specific to low voltage switchgear assemblies/systems, replacement breakers, and related equipment.
• Develop electrical schematics, panel layouts, and wiring diagrams that meet customer, manufacturing, regulatory, and project requirements.
• Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), wire lists, and terminal block drawings.
• Follow and develop standard design processes and documentation to improve quality and efficiency in engineering design.
• Support engineering change orders (ECOs) and revise existing designs to improve manufacturability, cost, or performance.
• Maintain proper version control and documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description

The Electrical Designer is responsible forsupporting the development and execution of electrical systems and control panel designs for our manufacturing operations. The Electrical Designer willbe responsible forcreating electrical design packages, selecting components, preparing detailed schematics, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure design intent is carried through to production.

Responsibilities

• Create designs specific to low voltage switchgear assemblies/systems, replacement breakers, and related equipment.
• Work under the supervision of electrical engineers to develop electrical schematics, panel layout, and wiring diagrams that meet customer, manufacturing, regulatory, and project requirements.
• Create andmaintainBills of Materials (BOMs), wire lists, and terminal block drawings.
• Follow and develop standard design processes and documentation to improve quality and efficiency in engineering design.
• Support engineering change orders (ECOs) and revise existing designs to improve manufacturability, cost, or performance.
• Maintain proper version control and documentation.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• 3 years of experience in electrical drafting or design, preferably in switchgear or related industry.

• Experience using AutoCAD and/or Inventor.
• Hands-on experience in panel building and wiring.
• Experience in the design of electrical switchgear, UL891, and UL1558.
• Satisfactory completion ofadditionalbackground screening.
