Job summary

Fresh Consulting in Redmond, WA is seeking an Electrical Design Verification Engineer to validate and verify board-level electrical design in a fast-paced hardware environment.

You will create test plans, run verification, analyze results, and collaborate with HW/SW teams. The role requires 5+ years, C/C++, embedded development, and power-delivery knowledge, plus lab equipment proficiency.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a hardware developer and system bring-up/verification/failure analysis engineer in consumer electronics.
• Proficient with C/C++ and embedded development.
• Knowledge of power delivery, power testing, high-speed mixed-signal design, and transmission lines.
• Familiar with UART, MIPI CSI/DSI, I2C, and sensors.
• Experience with embedded system testing and related protocols.
• Python and LabVIEW development experience.
• Board and system level validation and debugging experience.
• Experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMM, e-load, power supply, power analyzer, spectrum analyzer, and signal generator.
• Familiar with Linux/Android OS.

Responsibilities

• Create test plans, test procedures, and test results.
• Execute, interpret, and report the electrical system level verification work status and results.
• Work with HW/SW engineers to automate test data capture and reporting.

• Participate in Design Reviews to influence test measurement, execution and consistency with internal test tool usage.
• Support system bring up and debug activities

Title:Electrical Design Verification Engineer

Role

• Perform validation/verification of board level electrical design and systems

• Experience with C/C++ and embedded development
• Working knowledge of power delivery, power test, high-speed mixed-signal design, power distribution network, and transmission line.
• Working knowledge of UART, MIPI CSI/DSI, I2C/I3 and sensors.
• Working knowledge of embedded system testing and communication protocols.
• Python, and LabVIEW development experience
• Board and system level validation and debugging experience
• Experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMM, e-load, power supply, power analyzer,
• spectrum analyzer, signal generator.
• Familiar with Linux/Android OS.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with VNA and ENA, logic analyzer, signal analyzer, battery simulator, data acquisition device
• (DAQ), audio precision analyzer, audio amp measurement filter
• Firmware verification experience
• Experience in System and Subsystem power verification
• Experience in system interoperability, coexistence testing, and performance stress/optimization.

Education

Education: BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field.

Compensation

Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Range is $75/hr to $85/hr.
