Job summary

Qualus is seeking an Engineering Technician II to support the Substation Protection & Control team. You will help engineers develop electrical design packages, drawings, and project deliverables for utility and industrial projects, interpreting concepts and applying design standards to ensure accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in Engineering Technology or related field.
• Proficiency with Windows and MS Office.
• 2+ years supporting engineering or technical operations.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specs.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support engineers in preparing electrical design packages and deliverables.
• Prepare and maintain technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Interpret sketches and specifications to produce project documents.
• Develop single-line and three-line diagrams, panel layouts, and related docs.
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and vendors to support execution.
• Perform quality reviews of drawings before issuance.
• Assist with field data collection and drawing updates.
