Job summary

Electric Supply and Equipment Co. is seeking a Design Technician to translate engineering intent into manufacturable designs.

You will update documentation, generate manufacturing files, and support internal testing while ensuring accuracy and compliance with design workflows. The role requires an Associate's Degree in a technical field and 1–3 years of CAD experience, with proficiency in EPLAN and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of experience in CAD, panel layout, or industrial documentation.
• Familiarity with industrial electrical components and control panel architecture.
• Working knowledge of EPLAN, AutoCAD, or similar CAD tools.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured design workflows.
• Effective communication and collaboration with engineers, production teams, and quality personnel.

Responsibilities

• Apply redlines and updates in design software from customers, engineers, or Quality teams.
• Design and produce terminal block labels, phenolic tags, and other markers.
• Generate and manage manufacturing files for production use.
• Assist with internal testing activities as required.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and drawing packages.
• Assist with BOM creation and maintenance under engineer direction.
• Review engineering documentation with Sales, Engineering, and Quality teams.
