Job summary

Electric Supply & Equipment Company designs and manufactures electrical panels and components, seeking a Design Technician to translate engineering intents into manufacturable designs and support continuous improvement.

You will apply redlines in EPLAN/AutoCAD, generate manufacturing files, update documentation, and assist with internal testing while collaborating with Engineers, Production, and Quality teams.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, or equivalent.
• 1-3 years CAD, panel layout, or industrial documentation experience.
• Familiarity with industrial electrical components and basic control panel architecture.
• Working knowledge of EPLAN, AutoCAD, or similar CAD tools.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured design workflows.
• Effective communication and collaboration with engineers, production, and quality teams.
• Highly organized with strong documentation and file management habits.
• Office-based role with extended computer-based work.

Responsibilities

• Apply redlines and updates from customers, Design Engineers, or Quality teams in EPLAN, AutoCAD, or other design software.
• Design and produce terminal block labels, phenolic tags, and other panel identification markers.
• Generate and manage manufacturing files for production use.
• Assist with internal testing activities as required.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, revision histories, and drawing packages.
• Support the creation and maintenance of Bills of Materials (BOM) under engineer direction.
• Assist Sales, Engineering, and Quality teams by reviewing engineering documentation.
