Job summary

Audubon Companies in Houston, TX is seeking an Electrical Engineering Associate IV to perform design work on electrical equipment, components, structures or systems. You will develop specifications, calculations, and drawings, while coordinating with clients and vendors to meet project requirements.

The role emphasizes adherence to HSSE standards, budget and schedule control, and collaboration with drafting/design teams on site visits and reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
• PE license or EIT preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of experience preferred.
• ETAP, SKM, CARS software experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of NEC, NEMA, API, IEEE codes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under minimal guidance, prepare intermediate to advanced specifications for project assignments detailing client performance requirements, component needs, design requirements, codes, and vendor drawing requirements.
• Prepare sketches, perform calculations and develop analysis models for moderately complex projects.
• Review and approve vendor drawings for compliance with project specifications.
• Interact with clients, subcontractors, vendors and other consultants.
• Set realistic expectations and ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
• Adhere to quality standards and engineering checking procedures.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required

ABET Accredited Institution preferred
