University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to provide QA design review services for campus projects. You will review concepts, studies, plans, specs, and submittals to verify conformance with codes and University Facilities Standards, and contribute to the design of electrical systems for campus buildings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Illinois.
• In-depth five years minimum in engineering design of electrical, lighting, and fire safety systems.
• Knowledge of building systems including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building automation.

Responsibilities

• Provide detailed design documents (drawings and specifications) for construction projects.
• Review projects designed by others and prepare comments for non-compliant items.
• Attend progress meetings and provide technical support during warranty/ post-construction.
• Assist with project planning and analysis for new construction and renovations.
• Provide technical support to various campus units and collaborate with multiple departments.
