Job summary

Kelvion Inc. seeks an Electrical Engineer to design electrical control panels that meet UL508a standards. This role will lead UL508a panel shop setup, support maintenance, and troubleshoot machines used in manufacturing.

The engineer will develop wiring schematics, update control software, and document changes while working with production, quality, and other engineers to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent required.
• Minimum 5 years of electrical panel design experience; 2+ years in UL508a.
• Experience with AutoCAD or similar CAD software for electrical design.

Responsibilities

• Design UL508a-compliant electrical control panels including wiring schematics and layouts.
• Develop methods to improve manufacturing capabilities and tooling.
• Assist with maintenance and updates of control software for HVAC/R controllers.
• Document changes in processes and update drawings, schematics and instructions.
• Develop procedures related to UL508a panel design, testing and service troubleshooting.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing processes and perform root cause analysis.
• Create or update fault trees, fishbone diagrams, PFMEA/DFMEA as needed.
• Collaborate with production staff, other engineers, quality, and related teams.
• Lead multiple improvement projects and drive action items.
• Program and troubleshoot PLCs as part of controls integration.
• Provide technical support to customers and internal teams.
• Research multiple engineering areas to advise on manufacturing processes.
