Job summary

Spectra Tech, Inc. seeks a licensed Professional Engineer with 7+ years of electrical design experience to lead and supervise the design of low voltage power distribution and lighting systems in Richland, WA.

You will oversee engineers and drafters, ensure NEC/NFPA compliance, and serve as technical lead on multidiscipline projects. Responsibilities include design media development, construction documentation review, procurement support, RFIs, and testing procedures.

Qualifications

ABET-accredited Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering with 7+ years direct design experience.
Professional Engineer (PE) license.
Working knowledge of NFPA 70 / NEC.
Must be local to Richland, WA with DOE project experience.
Legal right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Supervise electrical engineers and designers/drafters to develop design media for LV systems.
Lead design of power distribution, lighting plans, and related drawings.
Serve as technical lead on multidiscipline projects and review construction documents.
Provide construction-stage support: procurement reviews, RFIs, and submittals.
Write acceptance test procedures and document engineering changes.
