Job summary

ArchKey Solutions LLC is seeking an Engineering Design Lead to guide a team of engineers and designers delivering electrical drawings, 3D models, and construction documents for complex installations.

The role requires deep NEC knowledge, 12+ years of design experience (or 8+ with PE), and strong leadership across disciplines. Based out of regional offices, you will drive quality, safety, and efficiency on diverse projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 12+ years of design engineering experience or 8+ years with PE license.
• Extensive experience in facilities power design (lighting, receptacle layouts, circuiting, panelboard schedules, load calculations, equipment sizing).
• Experience in healthcare, heavy industrial, and/or data center projects desirable.
• Strong knowledge of NEC and building codes.
• Proficiency in Revit, Autodesk tools, Bluebeam, and MS Office.
• Experience with SKM or ETAP is preferred.
• Ability to lead teams and collaborate across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team of engineers and designers to produce detailed electrical drawings, 3D models, and construction documents.
• Develop, review, and approve engineering calculations, studies, and reports (arc flash, short circuit, coordination, duct bank ampacity, load, lighting, power factor).
• Serve as primary engineering authority for project teams, providing technical direction and risk mitigation.
• Review designs for codes and company standards compliance.
• Lead technical review of outside documents and support value engineering and constructability planning.
• Mentor engineers and designers; ensure QA/QC of deliverables.
• Coordinate with field electricians to support data collection and implementation.
