Job summary

HFA is seeking an Electrical Designer III to lead design and delivery of electrical construction documents, applying NEC, energy codes, lighting and power systems with minimal oversight.

You will mentor staff, provide client-facing support, and develop complete designs including one-line diagrams, calculations, specifications, and equipment selection, ensuring accuracy and project profitability.

Qualifications

• Must have a BSEE or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, energy codes, and national standards.
• Experience delivering construction documents and one-line diagrams.
• Ability to lead, mentor, and client-facing support.

Responsibilities

• Lead creation of electrical construction documents across multiple project types.
• Provide quality control and mentor junior staff.
• Engage with clients and project teams to ensure requirements are met.
• Develop one-line diagrams, calculations, specifications, and equipment selection.
• Apply NEC and national standards with minimal oversight.
