Job summary

HFA is seeking an Electrical Engineer II to lead electrical designs for small to medium projects, applying strong expertise in power and lighting design, NEC compliance, and energy codes. The role involves collaboration with clients and multidisciplinary teams, advanced calculations, and development of construction documents.

Responsibilities include mentoring staff, managing budgets, and potentially serving as Engineer of Record on select projects with approval.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited).
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in at least one state or ability to obtain.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
• Expertise in NEC compliance and energy codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design for small to medium projects or portions of larger projects.
• Develop construction documents and specifications.
• Perform advanced calculations and quality control.
• Manage budgets and client communications.
• Possibly serve as Engineer of Record on select projects with approval.
