Bowman Consulting seeks an Electrical Design Intern to join our Baltimore team. This role introduces all levels of electrical design for commercial, government, and industrial projects, including construction documents.

You will learn under a senior engineer, document field conditions, and contribute to project milestones. The internship emphasizes hands-on CAD work, coordination with project teams, and exposure to code compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Enrolled in ABET-accredited degree program in electrical engineering or related field.
• Interest in MEP design as a future career path.
• Introductory study or knowledge of AutoCAD, REVIT, SKM, AGI Lighting Design.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems inline with code requirements and engineering principles.
• Communicate with engineers, project manager, and clients as needed.
• Document existing field conditions through observations.
• Produce project construction documents within milestone schedules.
• Review shop drawings, RFIs, and change orders when directed.

Education

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent commensurate experience
