Qualifications

• Enrolled in ABET-accredited degree program, preferably electrical engineering.
• Introductory study or knowledge of AutoCAD, REVIT, SKM, AGI Lighting Design software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Interest in MEP design as a future career path.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems in accordance with current code requirements and sound engineering principles.
• Communicate effectively with engineers, project manager, and occasionally the client.
• Conduct field observations to document existing field conditions.
• Produce project construction documents to meet milestone schedules within an hourly budget under supervision.
• Review project construction administrative items (shop drawings, RFIs, change orders) if directed.
• Review and learn codes applicable to the discipline.
