Job summary

GPD Group in Cleveland, OH is offering an Electrical Design Engineering Co-op for Fall 2027. You will join our team as a billable designer working on low voltage lighting and renewable energy projects under the guidance of a licensed professional engineer.

This internship provides hands-on design experience with AutoCAD and Revit across Akron, Independence and Cleveland offices, and opportunities to contribute to client projects while developing your technical and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Interest in low voltage building lighting/power and/or renewable energy design work.
• Interest in designing for Solar PV/EV battery charging stations.
• Ability to work in AutoCAD/Revit.
• Must be a team player and be self-motivated.
• Ability to work on both project teams and individual work assignments.

Electrical Design Engineering Co-op: Fall 2027 Semester

Electrical Engineering in Low Voltage Lighting and Renewable Energy Design: This is not a “get coffee and file paperwork” type of co-op experience.You will be a billable member of the team doing design work for our clients and learning how to use different design technology and software systems while mentoring under a professional engineer on our Electrical team.
