Job summary

MCM Engineering is seeking a Design Engineer to design, develop, and document low to medium voltage switchgear and distribution systems. You will ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements while collaborating with mechanical, project management, and manufacturing teams.

The role requires a strong focus on accuracy, project documentation, and timely communication of designs and changes throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in switchgear or power distribution design.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and E-Plan.
• Understanding of electrical protection and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and document low to medium voltage switchgear and power distribution systems.
• Ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE, UL, NEMA standards and customer requirements.
• Create and revise engineering drawings and schematics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and review customer specifications.
• Maintain project documentation and provide updates to stakeholders.
