Job summary

Vertiv in Anderson, SC is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join a collaborative team. You will design electrical systems for power distribution equipment and create schematics, diagrams, and wiring layouts while ensuring NEC and UL compliance.

You will work with mechanical, automation and manufacturing teams to accelerate product development in a hands-on environment. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree and 1–3 years' experience, strong problem-solving abilities, and proficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 1–3 years of experience in electrical design or controls engineering.
• Strong problem solving and ability to apply it to electrical control design.
• Working knowledge of NEC, UL, ANSI, and IEEE standards to ensure compliance.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems, components and products for power distribution equipment.
• Prepare electrical schematics, single line diagrams, wiring diagrams and drawings.
• Review project documentation and electrical requirements at project start.
• Collaborate with mechanical, automation and manufacturing teams to meet timelines.
• Develop control wiring for transfer controllers, PLCs and power quality monitoring systems.
• Support testing procedures and write project closeout documentation.
