Job summary

Vertiv in Anderson, SC is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to design and develop electrical systems for power distribution equipment, review requirements, and support product development from concept to production.

You will prepare electrical schematics, single line diagrams, and wiring diagrams, perform NEC/UL/IEEE compliance work, and collaborate with mechanical and automation teams to meet project timelines in a hands-on environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field with 1–3 years of experience.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to apply them to electrical control design.
• Familiarity with NEC, UL, ANSI, and IEEE standards for compliant designs.
• Ability to own projects while collaborating within a team and managing multiple drawings.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems and components for power distribution equipment.
• Review project documentation and electrical requirements at project start.
• Support product development from concept through production with guidance from senior engineers.
• Prepare schematics, single line and wiring diagrams, and network drawings per specs.
• Perform circuit analysis and calculations to support design decisions.
• Prepare and finalize electrical bills of materials.
• Collaborate with mechanical, automation, and manufacturing teams to meet timelines.
