Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 1–5 years of experience in power system design, relay settings, installation packages, and commissioning support.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and power system modelling tools (SKM, EasyPower, ETAP).
• Knowledge of protection schemes, substation layouts, and electrical studies.
• Willingness to travel 15–20% across the continental U.S.
• Ability to work remotely with minimal supervision and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze complex electrical power systems and substation upgrades.
• Develop electrical and substation equipment specifications, drawing packages, and installation plans.
• Perform short-circuit, arc flash, and coordination studies using SKM, EasyPower, or ETAP.
• Generate control circuit designs and relay settings for electromechanical and digital relays.
• Review existing power systems and provide upgrade recommendations.
• Analyze power quality data and investigate event data for mitigation.
