Job summary
RMS Energy Co, LLC is seeking a Power System Studies Engineer III to support and lead detailed power system studies on large energy infrastructure projects across North America. This fully remote role involves collaboration within the T&D Engineering and Consulting Division and mentoring junior engineers.
You’ll analyze power flow, stability, short-circuit, EMT, and techno-economics, while applying industry standards and scripting to improve processes.
Qualifications
- 3–6 years of experience in power system modeling or related field.
- Proficiency with power system simulation tools.
- Strong technical writing and English presentation skills.
- Ability to interpret concrete and abstract instructions.
Responsibilities
- Conduct studies in power flow, transient stability, short-circuit, EMT, harmonics, and techno-economics.
- Develop scripts and troubleshoot study processes to improve efficiency.
- Mentor junior engineers and lead technical studies for projects.
- Coordinate project setup, hours tracking, and reporting to support billing.
