Job summary

McKim & Creed is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join our Building, Energy and Infrastructure Group in Orlando. You will deliver technical design services for power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and voice/data systems on institutional and commercial facilities.

You will lead design tasks within a multi-disciplinary team and produce REVIT and AutoCAD drawings. The role requires a ABET-accredited degree, 5–10 years of related experience, strong organization and communication skills,

Qualifications

ABET-accredited electrical engineering degree or architectural engineering degree with electrical focus.
5–10 years of applicable experience on similar facilities.
Strong organization, technical and communication skills.
Solid communication and coordination with project team and management.
Proficiency with REVIT (5+ years) and AutoCAD.
Knowledge of NEC and Microsoft Office; Bluebeam experience helps.

Responsibilities

Provide technical and design services as part of a multi-discipline project team.
Generate electrical design/construction drawings using REVIT and AutoCAD.
Observe electrical construction progress and report findings.
Prepare design computations, assessments, and technical reports.
Complete assigned design tasks within budget and on schedule.
Coordinate with Project Manager, Senior Electrical Engineer and team.
Report directly to the Senior Engineer.
