Job summary

McKim & Creed, Inc. seeks a Senior Electrical Designer to join BEI Group in Greenville, SC. You will provide electrical design/construction drawings and specifications for institutional, commercial, and industrial facilities as part of a multi-discipline team.

The role requires at least 10 years' drafting experience, proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit, and a disciplined, detail-oriented approach. Office-based with field survey duties and potential for collaboration across projects.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 10 years of drafting experience and a vocational certificate or two-year engineering degree.
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit is required.
• Process-oriented with strong visual and technical skills.
• Willing to communicate and ask questions when necessary.
• Enjoys working alone but can collaborate on a project team.
• Flexible to meet varying project demands while maintaining accuracy.
• Must maintain a high level of precision and a methodical work approach.
• Must be able to climb ladders and conduct field surveys.
• Requires a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to effectively interact with other project team members.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical and design services in support of power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and telecommunication systems for design projects as part of a multi-discipline project team to produce electrical design/construction drawings and specifications for institutional, commercial and industrial facilities.
• Will be responsible for completing design tasks within budget and on schedule and communicating with Project Manager, Sr. Electrical Engineer and design team to complete work efficiently.
