Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Griffin, GA, seeks an Electrical Design Engineer to lead enclosure packaging development and drive ongoing maintenance initiatives. You will manage project plans, mentor team members, and coordinate with global stakeholders to deliver innovative electrical solutions.

The role requires bachelor-level electrical engineering expertise, strong CAD/CAE proficiency, and experience with ProE/Creo. Travel and relocation support may be provided as part of the package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Experience with ProE/Creo electrical tools is preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical codes (UL, NEC, CSA) is a plus.
• Experience in engine or genset electrical design preferred.
• AC/DC power distribution experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead global teams to design new products, processes, components, and systems.
• Provide technical guidance on product needs, analysis, and initiation of new ideas.
• Communicate results to global customers, suppliers, team members, and representatives from other business units.
• Complete projects on time and on cost.
• Acknowledge and raise customer’s and management’s awareness of trade-offs between time, resources and quality.
