Job summary

Nordson Industrial Coating Solutions is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to design, develop, test and support electrical systems for industrial coating applications. You will apply electrical engineering principles to new products and improvements, while supporting cost optimization and standardization.

The role emphasizes board-level design, circuit analysis, prototyping, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet safety and reliability goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of two years of electrical engineering experience in a manufacturing environment; R&D experience preferred.
• Experience with Altium is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems, including technical analysis, component selection, prototype testing, and troubleshooting.
• Create and maintain electrical schematics, PCB layouts, wiring lists, and bills of materials; experience with Altium is preferred.
• Support existing product lines by evaluating performance, resolving technical issues, and identifying opportunities to improve quality and reliability.
• Ensure electrical designs meet applicable safety, reliability, sustainability, and manufacturability requirements.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to implement product enhancements that address customer, market, and business needs.
• Contribute technical ideas and solutions that support research, development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
