Job summary

Applied Engineering is seeking an Electrical Design & Product Engineer to join our Faribault, MN team. You will work on electrical product engineering, transfers, NPI, and production readiness, partnering with manufacturing and suppliers to ensure smooth factory launches.

The role emphasizes reliable documentation, design simplification, and collaboration across cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, manufacturable products.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering required.
5+ years of experience in manufacturing-focused electrical engineering, product transfers, and NPI.
Proficiency with electrical schematics, wiring and harness design, BOM creation.

Responsibilities

Support manufacturing-focused electrical product engineering with emphasis on product transfers, NPI, and production readiness.
Create and update electrical schematics, wiring and harness designs, wire-kit documentation, and manufacturing-ready BOMs.
Drive electrical DfMA improvements, BOM commonization, and design simplification for manufacturability across product lines.
