Qualifications
- BS in Mechanical Engineering required.
- 5+ years in mechanical product engineering in manufacturing.
- Experience with product transfers and production readiness.
- Proficiency with BOM management, drawings, and manufacturing docs.
- Knowledge of fastener standardization and torque-control strategies.
- Understanding of DfMA/DFA to improve reliability and manufacturability.
- Experience leading engineering changes during factory launches/NPI.
- Hands-on problem solving with cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication to support transitions and builds.
Responsibilities
- Reduce product and process complexity via standardization and packaging commonization.
- Support product transfers by updating designs, BOMs, drawings, and work instructions.
- Partner with manufacturing, quality, and suppliers for readiness.
- Improve reliability and manufacturability using DFA/DFMA principles.
- Lead engineering updates to streamline assembly and reduce variation.
- Serve as hands-on resource during factory launches and NPI efforts.
- Collaborate with suppliers and Applied partners on projects.
- Contribute to community-impact projects in surrounding towns.
