Job summary

GBA's Life Sciences team is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer with 5+ years of experience to join our Broomfield, CO facility. You will develop electrical design calculations, layouts, and construction documents for manufacturing and research spaces, while coordinating with architects, structural, mechanical, and automation engineers.

You’ll apply NEC/NFPA and pharmaceutical industry best practices, review shop drawings, and support design reviews.

Qualifications

ABET-accredited B.S. in Electrical Engineering required.
5+ years of electrical engineering experience required.
Experience with electrical design for manufacturing environments.
Familiarity with NEC, NFPA and local codes.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to travel 10–20%.

Responsibilities

Develop electrical design calculations, layouts, and construction documents.
Produce technical query documents for design clarification.
Support engineering studies and facility assessments.
Coordinate with architects, structural, mechanical, process, and automation engineers.
Design electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, UPS, and security integration.
Participate in internal design reviews and vendor coordination.
Review shop drawings and submittals for electrical systems and equipment.
Stay current with electrical codes, standards, and pharmaceutical industry best practices.
