Job summary

Edgewater Technical Associates seeks an Electrical Design Engineer to support the Savannah River Site. The role focuses on design changes to facility electrical systems, power distribution, and related infrastructure.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, experience in industrial electrical design, and the ability to coordinate with I&C, mechanical, HVAC, and fire protection disciplines. U.S. citizenship and DOE clearance eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in electrical design for industrial facilities.
• Knowledge of power distribution and equipment interface design.

Responsibilities

• Prepare one-line diagrams, load calculations, equipment connection details, cable schedules, and electrical specifications.
• Support design changes to distribution systems, motor feeders, lighting, grounding, UPS-supported systems, and equipment power.
• Evaluate electrical impacts of new or modified process and facility equipment.
• Coordinate with I&C, mechanical, HVAC, and fire protection disciplines on integrated design changes.
• Support installation, testing, field verification, and as-built updates.
