Interface Engineering Inc. seeks an Electrical Design Engineer II/III – MEP in Oakland, CA, offering a hybrid schedule with at least 2 days in the office. You will design electrical systems for diverse MEP projects and collaborate with mentors to deliver complex solutions.

Qualifications

• BS-Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years in MEP/AEC electrical design/consulting.
• Working knowledge of building codes.
• Ability to perform multiple functions under deadlines.
• Team-oriented and collaborative approach.
• Preferred: Revit MEP knowledge.
• Preferred: PE or EIT certification.
• Preferred: LEED accreditation.
• Strong communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Building systems electrical design and layout.
• Supporting complex MEP projects across Healthcare, Education, Commercial, Biotech, Transportation, and more.
• Document delivery coordination.
• Innovative and complex electrical system design.
• Researching commercially available equipment.
• System design with mentor/senior engineer direction.
• Provide exemplary internal and client service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Building systems electrical design and layout.
• Supporting complex MEP projects across numerous industries: Healthcare, Education, Commercial, Biotech, Transportation, and more.
• Document delivery coordination.
• Innovative and complex electrical system design.
• Researching commercially available equipment.
• System design with direction from mentor and/or senior engineer.
• Provide exemplary customer service to internal team members and clients.

What You'll Bring:

Required:

• BS-Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years’ experience in MEP/AEC electrical design/consulting.
• Working knowledge of building codes.
• Ability to perform multiple functions in multi-deadline changing operations.
• Ability to work effectively within a team-orientated, collaborative environment.

Preferred:

• Working knowledge of Revit MEP.
• PE or EIT.
• LEED accredited.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
