Job summary

Halff Associates, Inc. is seeking a Graduate Engineer I, Electrical in Texas to join our MEP team. The role targets new graduates (Dec 2026 or May 2027) with experience in power and lighting design and the ability to perform routine calculations under supervision.

You will help develop construction plans and specifications, collaborate with mechanical, software engineers and project managers, and ensure compliance with NEC/IESNA codes throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architecture/Engineering.
• Experience with design, layout and circuiting equipment for electrical systems including lighting, HVAC and plumbing equipment.
• Knowledge of NEC and IESNA codes and standards.
• Familiarity with ASHRAE 90.1 and IECC energy codes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and modify electrical systems, components, and equipment per project requirements.
• Create/review detailed schematics and conduct feasibility studies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
• Adhere to timelines, budgets, and quality standards across projects.
• Comply with electrical codes and maintain safety protocols.
• Record design changes, milestones, and equipment performance for future reference.
