Job summary

Jobtailor in Wisconsin is seeking an entry-level Electrical Engineer to design PCAs and derivative boards based on system and board requirements. You will collaborate with power, mechanical, thermal, and firmware teams to bring designs from concept to manufacturing.

You will bring up, debug, and validate PCAs in a lab, perform design reviews, and contribute to documentation, test plans, and manufacturing instructions. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply for this on-site role at Jobtailor.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Graduated within 1 year of the start date.
  • Experience with digital or analog circuit design through coursework or project work is desired.
  • Experience with electrical lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, load tools, and multimeters is desired.
  • Knowledge of FPGA programming is a plus.
  • Knowledge of microcontroller programming is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design new and derivative PCAs based on system and board design requirements with senior engineers.

  • Conduct design reviews with design and operations teams.
  • Bring up, debug, and validate PCAs in an engineering test lab.
  • Release PCA designs into manufacturing.
  • Support root cause issue resolution during volume production ramp-up.
  • Track and document issue discovery, investigation plans and results, issue resolution, and issue closure in issue-tracking databases.
  • Create documentation, specifications, test plans, and manufacturing assembly/build instructions.
  • Work independently and participate in task teams addressing complex system and problem analysis.
