Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Electrical Engineer to coordinate and deliver electrical design work for federal facilities, with hybrid work attendance two days per week in the office. The candidate will lead design efforts within a multi-disciplinary team and ensure timely, accurate deliverables for DoD and civil programs.

The role requires a BSEE, PE license (or eligibility), strong communication, and REVIT proficiency, with domestic travel as needed.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) required.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred.
• Ability to communicate technical ideas clearly in writing and in person.
• Domestic travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design tasks as Designer of Record (DOR) with schedule, budget, and QA responsibilities.
• Gather information, interview stakeholders, perform calculations, and prepare rough layouts.
• Present findings to clients and project stakeholders.
• Perform high-level tasks under established standards and codes.
• Research products and assist with materials selection for systems.
• Design and perform calculations for lighting systems and controls.
• Prepare load analyses and document energy compliance calculations.
• Support construction administration and field investigations, including RFI and Change Orders.
