Job summary

Campbell Scientific is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer in Logan, Utah to design, test and maintain electronic hardware and firmware for measurement systems used globally.

You will collaborate with CSI personnel, customers and production teams, documenting designs for manufacturing and marketing. A Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and at least 1 year of hands-on experience are required, with strong communication skills and proficiency in C/C++ and embedded development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent education.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant practical experience in employment or college projects.
• Perform routine engineering work using standard techniques and criteria.
• Competency in analog, mixed-signal, digital circuits and microcontrollers.
• Knowledge of USB, Ethernet, SPI, I2C, RS-232, CAN, SDI-12, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS.
• Programming basics in C/C++, schematics, circuit boards, and lab test equipment.
• Clear verbal and written English communication; capable of teamwork and independent work.
• Strong analytical, strategic and innovative thinking.

Responsibilities

• Design, test and maintain electronic hardware and firmware.
• Convey designs to production and marketing with clear documentation.
• Collaborate with CSI personnel, customers and other teams on designs.
• Mentor other staff and contribute to project management as needed.
