Amazon is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join a global engineering team responsible for the design and innovation of our data center electrical systems. You will design resilient distribution systems, justify technical decisions to Sr.

Management, and drive improvements with a focus on uptime, safety, and cost efficiency. You will work on multi-million dollar designs for a wide range of customers, collaborate with utilities, vendors, and contractors, and support construction from

Qualifications

• 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including data centers and related fields.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field is required.
• Knowledge of critical data center/mission critical mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Experience in data center design, construction, operations or facility maintenance.
• Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods for data centers

Responsibilities

• Data center electrical designs and collaboration with other disciplines to create a construction document set.
• Create designs that meet quality requirements within budgetary constraints.
• Coordinate with local agencies to comply with codes and regulations.
• Review and approve equipment submittals.
• Define project scope and provide technical support during construction phases.
• Work with commissioning teams to test and validate installations.
• Manage concurrent projects across multiple geographical regions.
• Travel to sites for reviews and collaborate with field engineers.
