Job summary

Amazon Web Services seeks an Electrical Engineer to design and innovate electrical distribution systems for its expanding data center footprint. You will collaborate with engineers, suppliers, and external partners to manage concurrent projects from concept to turnover across multiple regions.

The role involves ensuring compliance with codes, producing construction documents, and supporting commissioning and startup activities.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering experience in mission-critical facilities such as data centers, power generation, or oil and gas.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities.

Responsibilities

• Design data center electrical systems and produce construction documents.
• Create designs that meet quality and budgetary requirements.
• Work with local agencies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and municipal codes.
• Review and approve equipment submittals.
• Define project scope and provide technical support for information requests before and during construction.
• Collaborate with commissioning teams to test and validate electrical systems.
• Work on concurrent projects in multiple geographic regions.
