Job summary

Konecranes in Wisconsin seeks a Project Engineer, Electrical to lead electrical design, hardware selection, and control-system implementation for electric overhead cranes and portal cranes in Region Americas.

You will design, test, commission, and document automation systems, generate system drawings, and manage projects from inquiry to start-up, including budgeting and scheduling. Requires BS in EE and 2+ years' experience with motor control and PLCs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Electrical or Automation engineer; experience with motor control products and VFDs is essential.
• Proficient in reading electrical schematics and vendor application drawings.

Responsibilities

• Engineering design, testing and commissioning of crane control systems.
• Perform engineering tasks including component selection, schematic design, system layout, automation control programming, and system documentation.
• Generate system architecture and automation network drawings.
• Project planning, scheduling, design execution, and performance to budget from inquiry through start-up.
• Testing and troubleshooting of control systems.
