Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Melbourne, FL is seeking an early career Electrical Design Engineer to support CNS aviation hardware. You will influence architecture, performance, and reliability of circuits in demanding aerospace environments.

The role requires a STEM degree and ≤2 years of experience, with knowledge of LTSpice and HyperLynx, lab equipment, and familiarity with embedded processors or FPGAs, RF design, MATLAB/Simulink. Onsite role with cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a STEM degree and less than 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to military contract.
  • Experience with LTSpice, HyperLynx, and lab test equipment.
  • Familiarity with avionics and embedded processors or FPGAs; RF design; MATLAB/Simulink.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and analyze electrical hardware requirements.
  • Support CNS sustainment products and contribute to new development.
  • Manage component obsolescence identification and mitigation.
  • Analyze circuit performance with LTSpice/HyperLynx.
  • Design, debug, and test digital and/or mixed-signal circuits.
  • Develop schematics, oversee PCB layouts, and support drawings.
  • Build, debug, and test electrical circuit designs.
  • Conduct electrical tests with common lab equipment.
  • Create verification test plans to meet requirements.
  • Collaborate with Mechanical, Industrial Design, and Manufacturing.
