Lear For You is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support Novi-based manufacturing initiatives, focusing on electrical design, panel layout, BOM creation, and cross-functional collaboration with program managers.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, 3 years in a design role within automation, proficiency in electrical circuits and PLC programming, and strong problem solving and communication skills. Travel up to 20% may be required.

Qualifications

• Electrical Engineering Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
• Three years' experience in a design role at an automation/machine build shop.
• Knowledge of electrical circuits and PLC programming.
• Motivated to initiate and implement tasks to increase productivity and profitability.
• Able to travel up to 20% to customer sites for design information or installation.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Project Managers, Controls Engineers, the manufacturing team, and customers to develop systems and complete projects.
• Provide electrical design and drawing creation with minimal supervision.
• Prepare drawing packages for manufacture and assembly to meet customer requirements and standards.
• Collaborate with shop members during the build process.
• Design electrical systems for integration and select pneumatic components.
• Develop electrical designs to resolve production issues and improve reliability.
• Share methodologies, tools, and knowledge to enhance team capabilities.
• Develop designs from direction provided by Novi program management and external Lear engineers.
