We are currently seeking a Senior Electrical Designer to join our growing team.

About the role:

In this experienced role, the Senior Electrical Designer will be a key contributor to project execution by completing design tasks, supporting project engineering, and helping guide design documentation. This position involves independent engineering and production responsibilities, with access to support from senior staff as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform and document electrical engineering calculations and code research.
• Conduct field surveys and assist with site investigations through construction closeout.
• Support project development by researching equipment options and contributing to technical specifications.
• Produce high-quality design documents, including layout of electrical systems and construction drawings using BIM/CAD tools.
• Review submittals, shop drawings, and RFIs as directed.
• Ensure alignment with company standards and coordinate with internal and external project teams.
• Mentor entry- and mid-level designers on design practices and production methods.
• Participate in QA/QC processes, internal standards development, and firm-wide improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to the firm's thought leadership through professional society involvement, technical writing, and presentations.
• Support the firm's marketing and outreach efforts.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering required.
• 24+ years of relevant experience in electrical design (MEP/Consulting).
• FE/EIT; LEED or PE is a plus.
• Proficient in BIM/CAD platforms; strong understanding of digital design workflows.
• Solid knowledge of electrical systems and applicable codes.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Proven problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to project delivery.
