Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Bland, VA seeks an Electrical Design Engineer to create dry-type transformers that meet exact customer and industry specs. You will apply state-of-the-art engineering methods and document designs and test data with precision.

You will collaborate with global and local teams to drive product and process improvements, and support production, quality, and supply chain throughout the lifecycle. This is a growth-focused, global role with impactful projects.

Qualifications

  • BS or MS in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, physics, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of drytype transformer design experience.
  • Proficiency with CAD/AutoCAD, Visio, Adobe, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and travel up to 10%.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. and a valid driver's license.

Your Background
