Qualifications

How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Design and develop dry type transformer solutions that meet customer specifications and industry standards.
  • Apply advanced engineering methodologies, calculations, and best practices to optimize product performance.
  • Collaborate with global engineering teams to implement common design tools and processes.
  • Support product development and continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
  • Partner with manufacturing teams to ensure efficient production and successful product launch execution.
  • Work closely with customers and internal stakeholders to deliver optimized technical solutions.
  • Contribute to value engineering and design-for-manufacturability efforts.
  • Lead or support cross-functional projects that drive innovation, quality, and profitable growth.
Your Background
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.
  • 2 years of experience designing dry type transformers.
  • Strong understanding of transformer design principles and engineering documentation practices.
  • Experience collaborating within cross-functional and customer-focused environments.
  • Proficiency with engineering and business tools such as AutoCAD, CAD software, Microsoft Office Suite, and related applications.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally (up to 10%) and authorization to work in the United States without future sponsorship requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with VSD, low-voltage, rectifier-duty, and/or traction transformers.
  • Knowledge of FMEA methodologies, value engineering, and design-for-manufacturing principles.
  • Familiarity with ANSI, IEEE, UL, CSA, IEC, and NEC standards.
  • Experience working with multinational engineering teams.
  • Exposure to electrical or mechanical simulation tools.
