Job Title: Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Location: Company Headquarters (Sterling Heights, MI)- 100% In-Office, 5 Days/Week (relocation assistance available)

Compensation: Competitive, commensurate with experience

• Construction-side electrical support (including data center and large-scale commercial projects)

Tiello is currently partnered with a growing electrical construction company expanding its in-house electrical design engineering team. They are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join a design team of three, with strong potential to grow into a leadership role as the department and company continue to expand.

Role Summary

The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will bring strong electrical design expertise and hands-on AutoCAD skills to support active construction projects. This role is best suited to a candidate with a construction/contractor background rather than an architecture or civil engineering background, who is looking for long-term growth as the team scales.

Job Responsibilities

• Produce and review detailed electrical drawings using AutoCAD
• Collaborate closely with the design team, including the design engineering manager and a junior engineer
• Support project teams with design-related questions and troubleshooting
• Mentor and help develop junior design engineers as the team grows
• Help build out design processes and team structure as the department expands

Qualifications / Requirements

• Electrical engineering degree required
• Background in construction required
• Experience with an electrical contractor strongly preferred
• PE license not required; candidates with a PE are still welcome to apply
• Willing to relocate to company headquarters and work 100% in-office, 5 days per week
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
