Job summary

Synstack Technologies seeks an Avionics Electrical Design Engineer to develop schematic designs and PCB layouts for airborne electronics. You will address EMI/EMC concerns, perform high-speed PCB work, and verify designs against DO-160 and DO-254 requirements.

The role requires 2–9 years of experience and hands-on simulation with MATLAB, SPICE, ADS, or HFSS. Collaboration across systems, embedded, and manufacturing teams is essential for successful production release.

Qualifications

• Experience in schematic capture and PCB layout for avionics.

• 2–5 years of relevant engineering experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review electrical schematics and circuit designs for avionics systems.
• Design RF/electrical circuits including power amplifiers, LNAs, and filters.
• Perform PCB layout with high-speed design, SI/PI considerations.
• Apply EMI/EMC design practices throughout development.
• Conduct circuit analysis and simulations using MATLAB, SPICE, ADS, HFSS.
• Support design verification, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis of PCB issues.
• Perform environmental, RF emissions, RF susceptibility, and lightning testing.
• Ensure compliance with aerospace hardware standards and DO-160/DO-254.
• Collaborate with systems, embedded, mechanical, manufacturing, and verification teams.
• Support design reviews, documentation, qualification, and production release activities.

We are seeking an Avionics Electrical Design Engineer specializing in schematic design and PCB/board layout for airborne electronics. The engineer will be responsible for electrical design, circuit development, PCB layout, EMI/EMC considerations, simulation, testing, and compliance with aerospace standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and review electrical schematics and circuit designs for avionics systems.
• Design RF/electrical circuits, including power amplifiers, LNAs, filters, and related interfaces.
• Perform PCB layout, including high-speed PCB design, signal integrity, and power integrity considerations.
• Apply EMI/EMC design practices throughout schematic and PCB development.
• Conduct circuit analysis and simulations using MATLAB, SPICE, ADS, HFSS, or equivalent tools.
• Support design verification, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis of electrical/PCB issues.
• Perform and support environmental, RF emissions, RF susceptibility, and lightning testing.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant aerospace and airborne hardware standards, including DO-160 and DO-254.
• Work with test equipment such as network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
• Collaborate with systems, embedded, mechanical, manufacturing, and verification teams.
• Support design reviews, documentation, qualification, and production release activities.

Preferred Profile

• Strong hands-on experience in schematic capture and PCB/board layout for aerospace/avionics electronics.
• Understanding of high-speed, RF, EMI/EMC, and signal-integrity design principles.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
