Job summary

Bastion Technologies, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to support multiple avionics projects in Waterton, CO. You will design and capture schematics, guide PCB layouts, and perform Worst Case and stress analyses for a state-of-the-art product in a mission-critical environment.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, 5+ years of related experience, and US citizenship with Secret clearance. Must be able to work onsite with travel as needed.

Job description

The Electrical Design Engineer will support the various projects located in Waterton, CO. Responsible for work on the development of a sophisticated state-of-the-art Avionics product in a world class Integrated Product Development environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design/Capture electrical schematics and guide the PCB board layouts.
• Perform electrical Worst Case Analysis and Electrical Parts Stress Analysis.
• Work on a cross-functional team in the development and integration of world class avionics systems.
• Resolve test anomalies and troubleshooting, and generation, review and presentation of Product Certification, and also support system level testing.
• Other duties as assigned.

• This position requires US Citizenship due to the sensitivity of customer related information.
• Must have Secret Level clearance
• Must have a bachelor's degree in the field of electrical engineering.
• Must have 5+ years of recent and related work experience.
• Experience in digital circuit design at the card/board level schematic and analysis.
• Experience supporting the technical evaluation of design and requirements verification.
• Experience in different phases of aerospace hardware development cycle.
• Experience interacting with peers, management and government customers.
• Missile design experience.

DESIRED:

• Experience with a combination of design, test, operations and systems engineering disciplines.
• Experience in schematic capture using Xpedition or similar tools.
• Experience with PSPICE, Saber or other electronics simulation tool experience.
• Experience performing electronics analysis (Worst Case Analysis, Electrical Parts Stress Analysis, Failure Modes and Effects Critical Analysis).
• Experience performing failure Investigation on electronic hardware (CCA, Unit, and System Level).
• Demonstrated strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills.

WORK LOCATION:

• This position is located onsite; some travel may be required.
• Schedules are subject to change based on the requirements of the position and/or customer needs.

BACKGROUND INVESTIGATIONS REQUIRED:

All Bastion employees must be able to pass a national agency check and some positions require clearance and will require an extensive background verification/check process.

DRUG AND ALCOHOL SCREENING REQUIRED:

All Bastion employees must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and are required to participate in periodic random drug and alcohol screenings.

• Must have experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and TEAMS.

• Able to communicate effectively, verbally and in written form, with internal and external customers.
• Able to follow company programs, processes, procedures, practices, requirements, goals, and objectives.
• Must be organized with good time management skills and must be able to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.
• Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task.
• Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time) and may require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of the time).
• Regular attendance in accordance with an established work schedule is critical.

SALARY RANGE:

$142,500/yr, salary will depend on education and experience.
